.
This is my contributions I did during the Game Project 2 at PlaygroundSquad. We worked 9 weeks on this project and we were a team of 15 people. 3 designers, 5 programmers and 7 artists. I did a little bit of everything in this project.
* Concept art.
* Environment set dressing.
* Illustrations for credits.
* Performance optimization.
* Props creation & texturing.
* Scripting, created assets + materials.
* VFX.
.
I also rigged a character and I did some UI work. We never used the rigged character/pedestrian in the game due to it would mean a lot of extra work for everybody and time constraint so we cut that out. I started working on some UI but got sick so another artist took over.
.
I learnt so much during this 9 weeks and I came to insight that environment work can be very fun! Questions that I got asked after the project which I think is important to talk about.
.
"What was the toughest part in this project?"
.
The toughest part of the project I would say was that a lot of 2d stuff that I made ended up being scrapped but it was also one of the biggest lessons/wisdom I got. Sometimes you got to kill your darlings in order to keep up with the timeline and to keep consistent artstyle.
.
"If you could go back in time, what would you do diffrently?"
.
If I could go back in time I would focus on little bit less stuff but instead make them really good!
.
I want to end with a big thank you to all my amazing teammates who all have worked super hard to make this game possible!
